No pictures today, just a quick post to say I did my part for World Wide Knit in Public Day. I took the purple sock with me to the mall where we were going to get haircuts . There was a wait so I whipped out my needles and several rows were added to the sock. Although there were folks all around, no one asked what I was doing (or making). I explained to the stylist that it was wwkip day and she laughed. She didn't get it. How sad for her.

Good for you Donna Lee. With Scott and Nick out of the house, I camped on the porch all day, ate cheerios and carrots for dinner, and knitted in private.
Maybe next year...
Isn't that funny how people don't 'get it'? I do! Good for you! We had fun at our WWKIP.
I think however and wherever you "represent," you do all of us proud!
btw, did you like your haircut?
I knit on the light rail to and from work almost daily, but I had no idea about this knit in public day.
Darn. :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Kudos for KIP yesterday! I usually take knitting to my hair appts, my stylist is always interested in what I'm making, as are some of the other operators. Some, as you say, just don't get it.
and oh yes, that is so cool your daughter celebrated WWKIP too! :-)
